Letter from our Growth Team

Our sisterhood is not just always laughing and having a great time, but we are also always looking to grow. The sisterhood of Alpha Sigma Tau at Millersville University cannot wait to get to know you and welcome you to your best adventure yet. Our sisterhood has become one of the most important aspects of my life, as well as one of the most enjoyable. I became Vice President of Growth for our chapter with the hopes  I could give other girls the same opportunity I was given.

Some of my favorite things to tell people interested in coming out to meet Alpha Sigma Tau are about our academics, philanthropy and sisterhood. I am very proud of how hard working so many of our sisters are. Not only did our chapter have the highest GPA in all of greek life this past spring 2017 semester, but we also obtained a 3.25 active GPA in our sisterhood. From long study nights together in the library, to early morning coffee runs to stay up throughout the day we are always working hard, and working together to do our best.

Recently, our Philanthropy changed nationally and we have been taking it by storm. I am so happy and enjoy all of the events and activities we do to help support our community through our philanthropy and service projects. I encourage you to read more about it while you’re browsing this website. Aside from our service in the community, our sisterhood itself is what makes us more than just a group of girls.

No matter where I am, someone is always willing to rush to my side. No matter what class I am struggling in, someone is always there to help. No matter what’s happening, someone is always a phone call away. I never truly thought a sorority could give me friends who know me better than I know myself. I didn’t believe they would truly feel like family, but I was very wrong.

Alpha Sigma Tau gave me the best adventure yet, and even better friends. I want you to have the same opportunity I was given, and have a chance to get to know our sisterhood. I highly encourage you to follow us through our social media throughout the year so you can always be up to date about any events we may be hosting, and so you can get to know us. If you ever have any questions for me about joining Alpha Sigma Tau, do not hesitate to reach out and ask, mlstoutl@millersville.edu.”
